ALTERED SKIN
EDUCATE | ENTERTAIN | EMPOWER
Altered Skin produce and curate events and projects that build bridges between cultures, languages, art forms, and communities to share experiences that connect us, as humans, to reflect on the multiple ways in which we live and find connections.
We work collaboratively with partners, organisations, communities, artists, producers, thinkers, and educators to transform the thinking and understanding of the ways we perceive identity, form and culture. Through our projects and events we open space for complexity, making unexpected connections and create experiences that enable new ways of seeing and connecting.
Our new project, When We See Ourselves is a touring production for Autumn 2027 and Spring 2028. The work was developed through engagement with Black and Asian communities across the country to contribute their perspectives to colour based hierarchies both within their respective communities and within the wider systemic structures to discover similarities and shared experiences.
